As well as the free of charge Access database support, Smap3D also offers support for MySQL Server (from MySQL AB). If Smap3D will be used for user documents in addition to Norm parts and company standards we recommend the use of a SQL Server.

The open source MySQL is a cheaper alternative to MS SQL and in connection with Smap3D offers the same stability and performance while at the same time providing simple installation and administration.
