Smap3D SmartSearch

SmartSearch offers extended search functionality to the existing PartFinder Advanced search.

3D Search (included in the SmartSearch package) searches for documents on the basis of physical properties, enabling a search for geometrically similar parts instead of just a standard search for a property such as “Document Number”. As a basis for the search it is possible to use both existing managed documents and unmanaged rough models (e.g. a quickly drawn cylinder with roughly the same dimensions of the desired document). The results are then returned sorted by geometric similarity.

All documents created by PartFinder Advanced (V7.0 or above) are instantly available for SmartSearch. Existing documents can be prepared for use at the click of a button.

PartFinder Advanced is required for SmartSearch.
