Smap3D PIPEFAB

Your pipeline has been planned and is now to be manufactured. Whether sawing, labeling, bending, collaring or welding: Each production order is usually divided into several individual processes, which now have to be channeled through fabrication as efficiently as possible. Downtimes, e.g. due to tool changes, must be reduced to a minimum. Manual production planning often becomes a Herculean task, since you usually do not only release one production order, but have to process several orders in parallel.

This is exactly where Smap3D PIPEFAB supports you. This modular and scalable fabrication planning and controlling system enables dynamic production planning of a large number of individual orders, taking into account processes, machines and materials. The orders are broken down into lot size-optimized production units and then optimized for each process according to, among other things, set-up time, waste, utilization or material flow.

The data is then processed and transferred to the machines networked with Smap3D PIPEFAB. Alternatively, parts, cutting, bending, collaring and welding lists can be created and passed to the machine operators. The production results are reported back to Smap3D PIPEFAB. In addition, assembly processes and logistics (e.g. pallet tracking) can be mapped.

Smap3D PIPEFAB is available in two basic variants, which already contain numerous basic functions. Cutting, bending, collaring and welding machines or automatic machines can be integrated into Smap3D PIPEFAB as required via the so-called "Pilots". The connection to machines and automats from T-Drill, Polysoude and Pipe Bending Systems is included; on request, this is also possible for other manufacturers. Optionally, Smap3D PIPEFAB offers additional functions such as controlling, batch tracking, warehouse management and welding documentation management.

With Smap3D PIPEFAB, you can achieve consistent process reliability from P&ID to piping to production, including documentation and traceability.

Engineering and production perfectly combined

Smap3D PIPEFAB is the link between your pipe construction and fabrication: The modular, scalable software links relevant design, ERP and technology data and stores the digital fabrication process in a database.

The machines for bending, collaring, welding or cutting of pipes thus receive all the information required for execution and can then feed the data back to other systems such as ERP or PDM/PLM for documentation. In addition, assembly processes and logistics (e.g. pallet tracking) can be mapped.

Optionally, Smap3D PIPEFAB offers additional functions such as batch tracking, warehouse management, welding documentation management and controlling.
