The combination of Autodesk Inventor and Smap3D Plant Design enables you to quickly and easily create even complex 3D piping systems for machines and plants in a single environment. The integrated solution considerably expands the range of functions of Autodesk Inventor, as it enables an end-to-end overall process from the creation of 2D flow diagrams (P&ID), via 3D pipeline planning (piping) and isometry, to the connection to the pipe production directly in the Autodesk Inventor CAD environment.
The modular concept of the plant construction software also allows you to purchase only individual, actually required modules, thus saving costs. For example, process engineers often use only the P&ID module, while 3D Piping and, if necessary, Isometric are required in construction.
Predefined pipe classes for different branches of industry, sorted according to relevant characteristics (e.g. nominal pressure, media), accelerate the construction of pipelines, and guarantee process reliability. For example, a connection of a plastic L-bend with a steel pipe is de facto excluded. If necessary, the range of functions can be expanded using the extensive Smap3D standard parts library for plant construction or the option of creating and managing your own (factory) standard parts.
