Challenge
Krones wanted to make the entire design process – based on the existing 3D CAD system – more efficient for pipeline planning and production.
Solution
With Smap3D Plant Design, the designer can already check if the pipes are machine bendable during the design process. There is no need for post-processing and correction! In addition, the number of new designs can be significantly reduced, even if the nominal pipe diameter is changed. In the field of soft drink lines , Krones AG is saving 3/4 of the work of one engineer. By automatically transferring data directly to the bending machines in the tube processing centre, the company gains additional valuable time.
