Increased cooperation between “Connected Pipeshop” partners
Offering customers a unique turn-key solution for pipes and pipeline engineering and fabrication; that was the reason why Smap3D Plant Design agreed a close cooperation with its longstanding partners Pipe Bending Systems, T-Drill and Polysoude in February 2022. Since then, the four companies have been able to convince numerous interested parties of this approach at trade fairs and events. In September, all partners held a workshop in the common showroom in the Sauerland region of Germany to discuss the joint strategy and vision for the coming years and important measures to achieve this. This much in advance: a lot will happen. Stay tuned!
Numerous interested companies in “Connected Pipeshop” showroom
At the end of 2023, the “Connected Pipeshop” partners launched a showroom to demonstrate how pipes and pipelines can be planned and fabricated much more efficiently – and it attracted great interest in 2024! Numerous companies took the opportunity this year and came to Lennestadt (Germany) to experience the entire process live: from 2D and 3D planning, to writing out the isometrics and fabrication planning and control to the fabrication systems for bending, collaring and welding.

On the road: Exciting trade fairs and events
Once around the world: In 2024, Smap3D Plant Design once again presented itself at renowned international trade fairs such as Tube 2024, ACHEMA 2024 (both in Germany) and FABTECH (USA) as well as exclusive events organized by our partners such as 3DExperience World 2024 by Dassault Systemès (USA), the Visiativ customer day MyCad2024 (Germany) and the FAST Forward Summit by PLM Xpert (Belgium and the Netherlands).
The first trade fair dates have also already been set for 2025: In February, Smap3D Plant Design will be exhibiting at AHR 2025 in Orlando (USA), at stand 3633 of our partner T-Drill Oy. At 3DExperience World 2025 in Houston (USA) you can visit our booth no. 1018 and listen to the presentation of technical director in the USA, Michael Mooney, in the 3DEXPERIENCE Playground Theater.
Delighted about long-standing employees
This year, our product manager Andreas Roessler celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company! Managing Director Maxim Lich offered his warmest congratulations during the company meeting – also on behalf of all his colleagues – and thanked him for his commitment and good cooperation. Martin Graessl joined the support team of our sister company CAD Partner just one year earlier than Andreas: After more than a quarter of a century, where he also established himself as a mainstay of the Smap3D Support Hotline, the entire team bid him farewell to his well-deserved retirement short before the end of 2024.
Karen Seidler, on the other hand, is actively involved in the day-to-day tasks of Smap3D Plant Design.
