The latest update for our software solution Smap3D Plant Design is available. In addition to supporting the Microsoft® Windows® 11 operating system, numerous extensions, new modules and functions are once again being introduced. We list the most important of them below:
P&ID:
- Various enhancements in the "Edit symbol datafields" module. Here, among other things, the differences between the currently stored values in the project and the contents of the imported table are highlighted now. In addition, we have standardized the spelling for "Article No." in the column headings, both for export and import.
- Reference designations (RDS) can now also be used for lines. The corresponding functions and tools in the P&ID application fully support the use of the reference designations for lines.
- New "Pipeline list" module for specific evaluation and export of pipeline connection information to plant equipment.
- Various enhancements in the "Object lister". Among other things, the object lister now supports the display of symbol datafield groups, can save and load different "column display configurations" and the column selection for symbol data fields now works alphanumerically sorted.
- Various enhancements in the "Symbol menu/Symbol editor". Among other things, there are new options for setting a default for the "inner/outer equipment" of a symbol and for predefining values for symbol datafields per symbol.
Piping:
- New Quickplace method "Elbow fixed angle" as an automatism for using elbows with specific fixed bending angles in pipelines.
- New Quickplace method "Tee fixed angle" as an automatism for using tees with specific fixed branch angles in pipelines.
- New function to write/transfer properties of connected components, from structural levels outside of pipline assemblies, to the "last" parts on a pipline path.
- New function "Import path sketch lines for path from PCF" to automatically create 3D sketch lines for a pipeline path based on a PCF file.
- New function for the automatic placement of dummy parts containing the length summation for pipes in a pipeline.
P&ID To-Do list:
Introduction and support of a new symbol datafield in P&ID symbols, which allows to exclude or include symbols/components for the evaluation/analysis in the P&ID To-Do list.
Isometric:
New application/mode "SpoolAnalyzer" to retrieve spool information from Isogen® and display it in CAD structure tree view.
