KASPAR SCHULZ is the oldest manufacturer of brewery machines in the world. The international company provides turnkey and custom fully automated brewing plants including fermentation and storage tanks.
Challenge
Different departments work in different software systems and partly manual transfers of BOMs were identified as obstacles to a smooth and speedy design process.
Solution
Working with separate 2D drawings and Excel lists is now a thing of the past.
SCHULZ designers are impressed with the significant error minimization and user-friendly operation. Long input processing times have been eliminated and the CAD team is enjoying the convenience of centrally defined pipe classes.
"With the integrated solution for pipeline planning, we are working up to three times faster than the previous process. The combination of CAD, piping design, PDM and ERP has improved our efficiency, reduced costs and increased quality."
Christian Montag, Group Leader of Mechanical Design
